7 Things I'm Grateful for Today
Day 7 - 31 Day Blog Post - 7 Gratitude's
I am so grateful to have made 7 posts a full week under my belt. I feel so empowered to be able to have this space and watch it develop. I feel like I have learned a lot and am enjoying the process and love going through my family pictures.
1. I am grateful for my Body and Health today. This body keeps me going and pushes me, loves me even when I don't love it. The strength this body has to endure so much. My body is a beautifully, perfectly designed body.
I do my very best to take as good care of it from the inside out. I thank you today for serving me.
2. I am grateful to be a mom to Mila and share the experiences, lessons I learn each day. You are my greatest teacher. Grateful to be part of her journey and for her choosing me to be her mom.
3. I am grateful for my husband that supports and challenges me equally with unconditional love. I'm grateful we get to create love and experience it together. We have grown so much as partners and humans. I'm grateful we are living our purpose each day working towards our missions.
4. I am grateful to experience living in BC, Canada surrounded by some of the most beautiful nature in the world. I'm merely minutes or couple hours from the ocean, rivers, lakes, mountains, forests and dessert. I'm grateful to have this time to see the world together and experience while we grow together.
5. I am grateful for the clean drinking water straight out of the tap. I know this is not something everyone in the world gets to experience. I hope in my lifetime we can have clean drinking water to everyone in the world.
6. I am grateful for my curly hair, for so long when I was younger I didn't like or appreciated having curly hair. It was different and big. All I wanted to do was fit in. Little did I know then I was never meant to fit in. I'm so grateful for my dark curls and full head of hair. It keeps my head warm and makes me feel beautiful.
7. I am grateful to live in Canada and have the freedom to speak my truth and keep having the ability to learn and grow.
My gratitude practice is one of the important parts of my day at the end of the day beside my bed I have a gratitude journal. I write a page full of things I'm grateful for every night. If I can't do a full page because it got to late which is rare. I love my practice so much I make it intentional and love it. It has really changed how well i sleep and wake up much calmer and in a great frame of mind. This doesn't mean I don't have crappy days. I do my very best to find the silver lining and what I learned from it.
I also make an effort to do a gratitude journal with my daughter a few times a week. She likes to draw a picture and write a few words with me about her day.
It makes the end to my day so wonderful no matter how hard the day was. Truly feel grateful for my life and all who are in it or have been in it.
