Day 12 - 31 Day Blog Challenge - What's in my fridge?

What's in my fridge? Be warned we're foodies and like to eat healthy. LOL

There you have it the inside of my fridge.  We cook a lot and are not really take out people on the regular so we like to have food prepped and ready to eat all the time.  Also having a 4 year old that eats her dinner just to get dessert.  I keep a tub of coco whip and top it what ever fruit I have.  I had a mango that was ripe and I topped the coco whip and it was a huge hit with the kid and all of us.  It's low in sugar and so much easier on the stomach for all of us.

Some of the staples we always have on had are lots of eggs, egg whites, frozen spinach, lettuce, hummus, babybels for my kiddo.  Several types of yogurt a full fat one for my husband and daughter and I go for lowest sugar content and high protein.  That's why Greek plain yogurt is usually great for this.  Pickles and mustard are a staple and almost weakly on the grocery list.  Yup love a good pickle.

In these pictures I have chicken breasts marinating in Greek yogurt and tandoori past from the Indian grocery store.  So so good.  Already prepped garlic shrimp with bok choy, burger patties prepped.   It is always good to have wonton wraps or spring roll wraps on had because they are easy to stuff and bake with anything.  We do spinach and feta, fruit and cheese or jelly.  You can do meat also like any kind of ground meat.  So yummy and easy.

I like to keep lots of frozen fruit on had especially the berries they are low in sugar filled with antioxidants.  So good for you and the family.  My kid loves a bowl of frozen strawberries and blueberries anytime of day.  A very common dessert for us.

Honestly it's more for myself because I get hangry and get moody if I don't have healthy food options readily available so my husband and I are regularly prepping, cooking and getting quality ingredients.

I try generally not to eat too much dairy other than Greek yogurt.  I cook and drink almond, oat, cashew and coconut milks.  My stomach likes this so much better.  However I do enjoy some cheeses and sour cream with certain dishes.  They're just a must.  When I do have them I fully enjoy them because they are not a regular part of my diet.

We are big yogurt eaters in my house.  I like to eat the plain Greek yogurt because it's high in protein with no sugar.  I add a cup of frozen berries, depending what other toppings want it could be ground flax, chia seeds, hemp hearts all a source of protein and healthy fats.

If you know me by now you know I need a whole side door for my hot sauces and condiments.  Ok maybe both doors.  We're serious flavor people over here.  I enjoy all kinds of flavors Thai, Indian, Italian, Spanish and African.  The list could go on for while.

What is a staple in your fridge and what is your favorite condiment?
